Props to Ruby

My friend Ruby, accomplished writer/spoken-word artist and fellow Nick James fashion competitor, profiled me on her blog, The Glamourbaby Trails (check it out).

Side Note: We spent several hours last night trying to explain to each other our methodologies for creating art. I made some of the weirdest analogies I've ever made in my life and I'm known for making overzealous analogies so one can only imagine. I did give her two tracks to play with though. Hopefully we'll create a Ryan Leslie, Cassie-esq partnership where

1.) I'll have less Kappa sensibilities than Ryan Leslie:

and 2.) Ruby will definitely be of substance unlike Cassie

Stay Tuned.

P.S. Props to Mike White as well. If you see him in the streets holla, "M-Witty Baby." He'll do the rest.

The Remix You May Never Get

So BRWN BFLO (Brown Buffalo) asked me for some beats the other day and all I had was older stuff. They heard my production by in large due to Ise Lyfe's album. Thus, they needed beats where I was at my best and radio applicable. All I had was somber soul stuff so I had to let this beat go, and as I predicted, this is the only one they wanted.

This was intially supposed to be on The Nas Remixes, a collection of Nas remixes I've been working on and others I've had for years. Therefore, this might be the only place to check it out. I'm going to remix this song again for the mixtape release because I've always loved this song. Maybe I'll tuck and hide this on the mixtape. You never know.

Peace.Share
